I picked up a pair of Diva Swan M200's for my computer about two years ago, and have recently added a subwoofer to fill in the low end. The subwoofer has an active lowpass crossover, but I don't have a highpass crossover for the Diva's.
Just for fun, some picutures:
Diva Swan's on my computer desk
My new subwoofer
I do have a pair of 200mfd capacitors, and the Diva's are 8ohm speakers. Theoretically, if I wire them up in series with the midrange, I should get a first order highpass crossover at 100hz.
The capacitors have the following writing on them: Bennic Non-Polar 200 MFD 100WV
Is there any reason why I shouldn't do this? I don't want to release any magic smoke from anything....
