Need a new multimeter - recommendations please

I opened it up and replaced the battery. It looked clean inside, and I didn’t see any issues. It was shipped with a dead battery, so I doubt that the seller ever even switched it on. Fortunately, the battery was not corroded. Case looks clean outside too. I think he probably bought a truckload of old electronic stuff and I got lucky. What kind of minor maintenance are you referring to?

Spray the contacts after a general clean up, a new battery, inspect the display contacts, solder the lead sockets again, that sort of thing, to rejuvenate it a bit, and protect against corrosion if you live in a damp area.
The inspection and battery replacement are done, anything further is your decision as you opened it up, so you know what is the state of affairs so to speak.
