Hi All,
I have NEC HT410 DLP projector, and bulb is gone 🙁
I tried to find bulb but its very expensive round $400 and I wanted to see if I have other options. I tried different vendors but no one seems to have any alternate, other then to spend the $$
I tried to find out how the bulb is working, the lamp is 150W
There are three connections, one connections has high voltage (I discover after burning my multi meter) and the other two have 175V DC or 400 V AC
I tried to connect common 120V 100W household bulb (making some wire connections to the connector) and when projector goes through initial cycle the light bulb lights up but for about 15 to 20 Sec and then shuts off.
I thought there might be a sensor in the projector that detects if the bulb is turned on, so after much search I found a small 100W bulb, which I put inside the existing casing and tried, same happened (bulb turned on for about 15-20 sec and then turns off), bulb is not burnt or anything, if I turn off the projector and turn it back on, the bulb work (15-20 sec and then turns off).
I am not sure if anyone has tried to put replacement bulb, I fond a 150 W projector bulb (that requires high voltage starts up) on ebay for about $120 but the bulb is of two connections, not sure how I can connect it to the 3 connection I have beside that not sure if after spending $$ will work.
Any suggestions, ideas
Thanks in advance. I w¡ll post some pictures of the existing lamp, and what I found on ebay

Hi, thanks for the reply. The bulb is 150W and it has three connection, one with high voltage and the other two have constant 175V DC or 400VAC (I checked with multimeter, and when I checked on AC side it deflected to 400V, and when I checked to DC it was showing 175V), however as I stated in my post normal 120V household light bulb turns on and stays on for about 15-20 secs. Please let me know what you have and how much it would cost. Are you in US?
