NEC 1525 S SXGA (1280 x 1024) 15" LCD Panel on eBay

Hi Chaps,

I have one of these very rare panels on eBay from 99p no reserve. I think the inverter is squeaking but this isn't required anyway..

The best thing is 1280x1024 res from a 15" panel.

There is a 10 pin(?) FFC which needs extending (i did one with a soldering iron and a razor blade, or just buy the cable), otherwise it's a perfect cheap high res panel. Measures 15.4" diagonal.

can someone please tell me what the "inverter" does?

that's not an important part of the driver board for vga video? is it sound?

The inverter is for the backlight, so it's not needed in our Projectors.

Hi. Is the 1510v the same internally as this monitor? I have the chance of one, but will only buy it if it's ok to use on an OHP. Thanks.
