The protection covers
To build the protection covers, I just cut a square frame from a 5 mm plexiglass sheet ( thinner sheets are good all the same ).
Then drilled 4 blind holes on the corners ( I mean holes not passing through, don’t know the technical word in English ) to house 4 little magnets that connect to 4 pins on the corner of the speaker.
At last, I covered the frame with beige acoustic cloth, glued on the rear.
That’s all folks.
Thanks a lot to everyone who followed this thread and participated with precious tips; I hope you’ll start from here for new projects.
Of course I'm here to answer your questions ( if I can ... ), doubts, clarifications ...
Ciao.

... better than TV speakers !
Sorry but I'm not an audiophile, I can't find words to define a sound ( Frank Zappa used to say that it's like dancing the architecture ... ) and have no tools to measure it.
Just take 2 drivers you like, put them in such a case ( few work hours are enough ) and listen with your ears: this is the very first rule in hi-fi.
Ciao.
