Yes, the Velvets, Heroin
That's Larry Gowan; "Strange Animal." (Post 159)
Not Canadiana...
It's one hell of an understatement to say she can be mean
She's temperamental; more a bitch than a machine...

I told your mama I'd get you home but I didn't say I have no car
I saw a lion he was standing alone with a tadpole in a jar
Dancing Days - LZ. Track B1 on their »Houses of the holy« album.
Best regards!
Well, as Houses of the Holy was their one and only with lyrics included on it's inner sleeve, wasn't that difficult 😉.
What about the following:
Colours I've none, dark or light, red, white or blue
Cold is my touch, freezing.
Summoned by name, I am the overseer over you.
Best regards!

I was just listening to that the other day - first time in many many years...
A Passion Play - Jethro Tull
-----------------------
Down on the mainspring, listen to the tick tock
Clock all the faces that move in on your block
That's right, a fine album and vivid memories of my youth.
Btw, I don't see the point of this thread anymore, as we all know how to Google

I love this album, even more than Thick as a Brick, which I believe was more popular (here in the States at least). I even had it on 8-track for god's sake.
There was a box set of A Passion Play released a few years ago, featuring among other things a fabulous 5.1 surround mix by Steven Wilson, if you're into that sort of thing.
Hey can I try one? Just listened to this tonight (the live version, a favorite summertime album):
"Tomorrow the plow becomes the sword
Make us stronger in our danger..."

Honour system I guess, if you don't know don't post! If you are curious, google and keep it to yourself 😉
Tony.

Wishbone Ash - Warrior (from their 3rd album, Argus)
*Ding!* Correct, Kay - although I seem to lean toward the Live Dates double-album for most of these classic Wishbone songs. Reminds me of going to see them with my schoolmates back in the day - great shows.
Well, since I for whatever reason hadn't stumbled accross this thread before, and it's been resurected, and no one's posting another I'll have a go. BTW I went back and looked at the whole thread, and ironically I knew the very first one and then very few after that!

Looks like you stumped us, Wintermute. I'm gonna guess something from Be-Bop Deluxe?
Edit: Oops, not even close, heh. 🙁
