This was Jeff Lynne's brilliant marketing ability at work. He knew kids would eat that backwards devil music shite up. He must have come from a really repressive background to be so attuned to that spirit of rebellion. I think the song was named "Fire in the Hole" (snicker) and it's been used just about everywhere but most notably for sports promos. Its most memorable feature is a short burst of highly compressed acoustic guitar (possibly 12 string) followed by a glorious orchestral chorus. It took me a while to recall the name, I always confused this with Eldorado. I got on the right track when I heard the hint about evident backward speaking on the recording.
Here's one that should be easy. There aren't that many that can pen the following:

The early years - everything before "the White Album" / "Rumors" were far more sincere to my thinking. Sure, Stevie looked pretty good in those lacy outfits, but just too glossy for me.
OK, the version I heard was that Peter wanted to get John McVie to join and told him we'll include your name in the band. I'm curious, gonna have a look see.

If you mean Peter Green solo, I really like his cut "Fool No More". It's about as good a blues guitar example as any I can think of. I love the laconic timing with runs that never seem to end. Have we given up on this game?
