OK, so I'm new to the whole audio modifying thing but i'm fairly decent with electronics on a whole. I have an old Nakamichi OMS-2 (circa 1988) that I don't mind screwing up so I was wondering if there is anything I can do to this thing to modernize it.
Anyone have any schematics or know of anything that can be changed internally to make it a decent CD player for this day and age?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks 🙂

Parallel input dac😱 depending how much work you want to put in and/or the digital filter you should be able to do something.
What digital filter does it use?

It appears so Martijn. There is only the one BB chip on the board and i don't recognize the markings on the other chips.
Hi manxam,
your OMS2 has a digital interface, between filter and dac, which I am not familiar with.So I can not help you regarding upgrading.
By the way, the pcm54 has 1 converter for 2 channels.....
Sorry.Perhaps someone else can help.
