first post... I just recently bought a used Nakamichi CD Player4 as a cheap spare for my dead&gone CD63.... what quality are the nakas parts of? It uses a ksl210afm drive, an ad1864n DAC with sm5840 filter and cdx1167 chipset... and what about the njm5532 opamp in the analogue section?
Any suggestions for a moderate tune-up?

btw: the player was sold as defect with dropouts. I found there's none, but I sometimes have distortion in the mids on the right channel on the rca output (headphone is just fine) which is dependend on what I play. I found no crappy soldering, so what might be the cause? The njm5532, some cap? I ordered the manual, but maybe someone has a clue.
