Do you know how it does for noise? I see single BJT input MC stage. What is its type and how high is R6?

Edit: Never mind, I saw it has the list next to it in another pic. 2SD786 and 22R. Something under 10 Ohm rbb' in its place for a sub then.

That will be 1.2nVrtHz with the 2SD786 & 22R even if he does not say if you will find the article. Not the best figure for low MC. 2SC2547 can do also BTW. That ROHM is very seldom and expensive now. If no White Stripes, substitute with the Black Keys in other words.😀

Hi Salas

Interesting thread.
Thanks for posting.

NAIM was some of the first 'decent gear' I heard...
...maybe very early '80s I think.

The second DIY phono I made ... years ago now ...
... had Tants ... then OS-cons ... then Polys.
There was something nice about the Tants ...
... a bit 'NAIM' like.

PSU & other bits all stayed the same on this phono-pre ...
... the 'cap-rollin', like many things at Space-Egg ...
... happen over a 'geological time scale' ...
Mmmm...

Cheers

Si.
