Gents, I'm hoping someone could give me some advice here. I've been given a Nad T743 av receiver, still complete unit, previous owner said his not sure what could be wrong with it. I plugged it in a few minutes ago and all I get is a standby light (orange in colour). I tried the factory reset options found on Google but still have no luck.
Now, if this cannot be repaired, I see a nice beefy transformer and some decent heatsinks sitting inside this baby that I could use for other projects/builds. But before I butcher the thing, is there anyway of using just the power amp section of such an amplifier?
Seems a waste to butcher it, at least until I've tried something.
Cheers

Yes, you can use the poweramps if they are class AB. If they are class D, better not try it. However, you will have to get the schematics of the receiver and the things will become easy.

Hey guys, it's been a while. Had serious adsl issues in the area. Anyway, regarding this amplifier, I stripped it and now sitting with the transformer, psu board and both amplifier boards. Now I'm hoping someone can help with this part. Is there anyway I can switch this on? There are quite a few relays on the bords.
Please help, cause if I can get this going it will be a nice 5 channel power amp 🙂
