I have similar problem with my NAD C541i. It swallow the disc and then does not want to start spining the disc. There is some noise inside, probably laser lens moving.
I was thinking of making capacitor raplacement as suggest earlier, but this version does not have these C122...capacitors installed.
Any suggestions?

Not capacitorS, there's just one - if there is. 😀
Did you already check the drive belt and two cables from the laser mechanism?
I don't know about the 'C541i', but at least the C541 (no 'i') is included in the
official NAD 'service hint'.
edit:
I checked the C541i service manual. There isn't any cap between C111 and C201.
I'd recommend to follow the trouble shooting guide first. Get the manual if you don't
already have it.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the service hints replacement parts? What voltages are the capacitors?
From what I remember they're just tiny ceramic caps in the digital section, so 5 V max.
Feel free to use Micas or foil caps instead. It doesen't matter at all whether you get 25 V or 50 V rated ones.
