Hey there good people
My NAD C350 ain't working right after about a year of not being used.
Always worked like a charm before it was put away.
The speakers connected to the amp itself will only play on the right channel and extremely low, but when hooked up to my NAD power amp 214 it plays perfectly through the power amp.
So it seems like the issue is only with the output through the C350 speaker outputs..
Anyone got an idea as to what I should check ?
(Just wanted to point out that I have absolutely no idea about how these things work or even how to use a multimeter, complete electronic noob here)
Best regards..

Sound source to AUX - from C350 Pre-Out to Input on the Power Amp..
If I plug the sound source to Main in on the C350 I get 100%volume from it and can't turn it down..
And then I get no sound from the power amp..
I don't get it..

I would have first said the speaker switches or relays, but if it works into "main in" it has to be before that. Could be corrosion on the volume control.
But the volume control works fine when routed through the power amp... 🙁I would have first said the speaker switches or relays, but if it works into "main in" it has to be before that. Could be corrosion on the volume control.
Then the Speaker channels on the C350 don't work though..

OK, your posts are confusing.
Source into the 350, as normal, no/low output from the 350, correct?
Source into the 350, line out to power amp works fine. So 350 used as a preamp. Correct?
Source direct into the "Main in" on the 350 gives max vol, as you are just using the 350 amp section. Correct?
I do not have your schematics, but are their jumpers between main in and out? Any switches or relays inside?
And what John said. Did you forget if it used jumpers pre-out to main-in? The low sound could just be internal crosstalk.

I'm perhaps not explaining myself that good, sorry..

I have absolutely no idea how the internals work, sorry..
I'm a panel beater, metal worker - I know more about the Russian space flights then I do about electronics.. 🙁
