Hi All,
My trusty Nad amp is playing up.
Basically one of two things are happening....The volume is dropping, or/and one channel is cutting out.
Im pretty sure its showing signs of both.
Any idea what the problem might be of if its fixable?
cheers!

Probably dirty contacts in a switch or connector somewhere. There may be more than one place this is happening.
Use Caig Labs D5S-6 cleaner to renew contacts, available at RadioShack.
I had the same with my NAD 316BEE.
There is cable that goes to the potentiometer. It is bad contact.
When I pressed that flat cable firmly into the jack, my problem disappeared.
Try to let the flat cable get better contact.

Although the amp is quite young, this issue sounds a bit like it could be dirty contacts in the speaker relays.
Cheers

Anyway.....Any idea what this is!!

Cheers all,
after a good clean with some contact cleaner, and a 4 hour dry time its working like a charm!
I could be wrong - but it sounds a little brighter/more lively too.
cheers! I was thinking something might be leaking!

Glue that stabilizes the capacitors against vibration and mechanical shock.

I have this exact problem with my NAD C316BEE.I had the same with my NAD 316BEE.

And it is caused by potentiometer jack as you say.
But after I fix the problem by moving the jack around the problem returns after some weeks.
I can not really pull the jack out, since it is glued with some serious glue.
I want it out to inspect the pins for any sign of oxidation.
Maybe pulling it out and plugging it in will resolve the problem for long time, I don't know.
Any ideas what can I do?
Go by brute force and cut the glue to plug the jack out?
Here is my story of the same issue with NAD C316BEE.
One channel became weak and sometimes disappeared at all.
When I opened the amp and touched the white connector cables that leads to potentiometer of volume, the issue disappeared but not for long time. After few days it returns.
So issue is about oxidation of contacts of the white cable. You can not really to clean this oxidation because contacts are sitting inside of white plastic ends of the cable.
What fixed the issue for me (for long time now) is popping out the white cable from both of its ends and plugging it back when swapping between its ends: each end went into other end original socket.
Removing of the cable jacks ends completely was not easy task for me - both of them are glued with some glue to sockets on boards.
Make sure you do it gently to avoid breaking of anything. Try to pulling off the glue itself first. Use some tiny grabbing tool to do it.
Good luck.
