NAD 3130 Preamp section faulty

Hi
I have a Nad 3130 with very low volume. I have connected another good into the nad main section and it works fine. Connected the nad preamp into another good amp main section and it was very quiet which leads me to suspect the nad has a problem in the preamp. Any advice on what to look for. Could it be a capacitor or something else

thanks

If it's both channels, the problem is more likely to be in the power supply.
But, in older equipment, sometimes a dirty or worn switch can cause
problems like this.

Thats weird as I took the fuses out to check them..all ok. Put them back and now amp doesn't power on but fuses haven't blown. Switch ??

Maybe. Do you have a voltmeter? Check the voltages before and after the fuses.
Routinely I clean all switches, pots, and contacts in older equipment before checking further.
