NAD 2140 simple issue

I had to replace the power switch, found them on ebay. Want to replace the varistor or capacitor. It is blue, says MY 472p. measures at 6.7NF, should be .0047uf. Its position in schematic shown in pics, 110v circuits. Ant ideas what this is? a snubber? Or safety or filter cap only? Sure looks like a varistor though.
I need a primer on this aspect of the techno babble.

C823? That is a capacitor. Possibly class X or Y, 4n7 and probably rated at 250v AC.
