With the 1/4" male plug it LOOKS like something for a guitar amp, but my microwave oven has the same connector for its internal temperature probe. This could be an air temperature probe, it could me a moisture sensing probe for something like a sump pump. It could be some sort of piezo sonic alert noise maker. Anything like a bulb in it?

hi, it wash advertised online from a pawnshop under musical instruments, they dont know what they are either. was trying to find out for them. i only have the two photos off the site. i think in side it is empty. they are brand new in a bag. i thought maybe telephone ear pieces without the speakers but the cable looks modern
So you do not possess it. If I had one in hand, I;d first plug it into an amp to see if it picked up anything.
