I did not call experts, but noticed that is is hard to construct that kind of spiral in a CAD system. Therefore I wrote a program to construct is from the mathematic formula of a logarithmic spiral. Took some days, but most of the time to understand how the API of the CAD software works. If I find some time, I will write a short tutorial how to do it.

I wondered why they all hedged away after saying they could do it . They all baffled me with CAD jargon anyway it goes over my head I do not know what they are on about anyway .

Thanks again

Peter

You looking for a driver... I guess a 15", is it sealed? What's the internal volume net (approximate)? Good job. Regards.
This is a nice driver, good for a quarter wave but is not what you're looking for. This coax driver has moderate LF extension (>40Hz) in a standard BR enclosure, but is a good starting point to look at all your different parameters. 🙂

The Fane Axiom AXA 15B-300 does the top of the range but doesn't go low (>50Hz). 🙂
Fane International Ltd Loud Speakers
The Eminence Legend CB158 300W can go low to LF (>30Hz), also good for BR and quarter wave, requires >200L enclosure but is a good starting point.

Hello again
I have measured the cubic capacity it is 8.8cu ft or 249litres the tube is just under 20' .That was the object of the exercise . (Could I make it!!!!) I knew it was big I have to lug it about .At the moment it is vented have not tried sealed yet . There really is not many drivers about with my parameters . I have a few chassis to make my own up . Would need a lot mere technical info than I know to get the right parts to work together I have now found a reliable supplier

Thanks Peter

I have the driver I have fitted the wooden cone to up & running just now . It was very stiff initially now freeing up which it will continue to do . Now on song with a softer surround & new voice coil . A lot more bass already tighter all round no sign of breakup continuing to build up the varnish . Lets put it this way I will continue with wood cones an awful lot of work . .No gain without pain

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven,t been about lately .My long term medical condition came back with a vengance . I must come clean I have ulcerative colitis for most of my life . Early in the year I had a massive reaction with azathiroprine .one of the medication I took . None really work really well long term . I was rushed into hospital I was at one of my lowest points , cortisone did not work . My last chance was remicade . They were very reluctant to give it to me because of my age it was my last chance I will spare you the other option . It was administered late at night within hours it worked . I never felt like I do now before fantastic . My grateful thanks to all at Winchester hospital . Also the NHS the granite pillar of our society .
I have the third infusion on tuesday .

I have purchased a pair of Tannoy 15 dmt II for reference to see how I am doing . Guess what I like the best ;<) I know I am going the right way with all the tweaks

Thanks Peter
