I used a canon A70 digi with a 2 second exposure time. no flash.

I'm currently using a white sheet (as you can see in the pics...)

It's TOTALLY overlapping the sheet. I need to bring the projector closer!

there is a neat trick

for the 3M 4003 aand the dukane 410 as well

the top part exist of 3 parts
a) a mirror
b) a central lens
c) a thinner lens

tilt lens C 180degrees backward and readjust the image

the result is an even wider screen and NO details lost at all and even a somewaht brighter picture ! allthough for 4000 lumens i think it is already bright enough~

are you also using a 'cheesebox or vga theater converter? for dvd or tv ...

What are you, a moron?

No. but he is a forum moderator.

by the way, multiplexor, you should use a photo editor to resize picture to 600 ~ 800 range. any bigger is not optimal for web viewing. you can resize it and upload to the webhost and overwrite the original. Or I can resize them and send to you.

lol you, my friend are a funny man 😀

I stated in the FIRST post that these pics are BIG.... 🙂

I hate resized pics for the fact that you can't zoom in or see the "big picture" so to speak... I presented to you the full uncut image for viewing. I'm well versed in photoshop and know how to easily make web ready images. But for the sake of showing everything in these pics, I really wanted to post the full pic uncut.

But thanks for the compliment... lol

Thanks man 🙂

It's all good though. Once I have more time, i'm going to rop them up and build a web page for everyone to check out... Won't be anything special.... But it'll show these pics and what you can do with only a OHP and lcd panel...

Next up... making this thing darker. ALOT of light escapes this sucker. 🙁

Image Trouble Here Also

I can understand what you mean multiplexor. I have been taking "new" pictures tonight to try and show some improvements in my setup I made. But because of my digi cams inability to take good pictures in a dark room, I feel they are only about 50% as good as it looks to me. It seems like there is no really good "true" way to show people what you are seeing without having spent a lot of money on a good camera, or having a good technique for taking your pictures. If anyone does have a good technique for getting better pictures in a dark room I would really appreciate it. I am going to have my friends bring over their HP digital camera tomorrow night or saturday, which is MUCH MORE color accurate and takes GREAT pics in the dark, and have them retake the pictures I took tonight so I have good copies. I'm probably gonna post a thread also, just to show people the "exact" same setup, with pictures taken from 2 completely different cameras to show what a difference that can make. I'm sure some people out there feel the same way that their pics do not acurately represent what they are seeing themselves. Anyway I can appreciate the need to "see the big picture". I just download them anyway, and view them in Photoshop so I can get a better idea of picture quality, contrast, etc. Good luck with your projector man...

BTW man, I will try and post a pic of the ghetto enclosure I made out of foamcore and ducttape. It's pretty ghetto, but I put it together in a couple mins, and it helps keep ALOT of light from escaping and lighting up the room.

a tip for taking shots of projected images:

use a tripod and the self-timer on camera. It will avoid unneccesary shake can give best possible picture.

also, don't include too much of the surrounding. because it is dark, it will change the autoexposure (over expose). I would limit the surrounding to 1/5-1/4 of the whole picture
