It a apollo concept and its rated at 4,000 lumens, but honestly when lights are on in the room its crappy, real crappy, so My question is can I expect a 400W MH to be brighter? the current bulb in My OHP is a 410 w fxl, any thoughts I would hope a 400w mh would be brighter, mabe a double ended MH over the big "mougle" size bulbs? oops sorry I mean its dim with a OHP projection panel

My OHP is also 4000 lumens with a 600 watt dys bulb and with the light on you cant really see the picture on the screen. From what I know the metal halide bulbs are way better both in lumens and color temperature than our halogen bulbs.

Ok cool thanks for responding so a 250 watt MH puts out that much eh, thats a lot so I assume a 400 watt double ended MH( is there such a thing?) would be around 26,000 lumin so in the end it would mabe put out 1-2000 lumin with a good reflector etc, Dont the old OH projectors( the ones that are like 1 foot tall for the light compartment, actually allready have the reflector at the bottom( as opposed to the newer haligon and mirror setup?) yea My proxima is 600-700 Ansi and thats much brighter then this OHP, speeking of that how does one calculate Ansi from Lumens? thanks
