I know what thats like from first hand experience bud, hope things get sorted and back on track for you mate 🙂
Glad you found a little inspiration from my thread and its content. I actually started building a PJ in a PC case before making the Retro Prpjector, gutted a PC case shortened it etc only to find my lamp and ceramics were too damn wide to fit LoL I took for granted they would fit...as it had been done before... I should have measured, I should have known better hehehe ah well, turned out ok in the end I had fun designing and building the Retro PJ and it's helped a few others out along the way that have copied it too so it was worthwhile I think 🙂
Oh...and yes I did get the LCD sorted a friend of a friend got that organised for me through an electronics technician, I don't have the PJ anymore however I sold it to one of the visitors to my website who made me an offer I couldn't refuse (more money than sense IMO), I put the money towards a Sony WEGA 116cm Rear Projector TV (Which now takes pride of place in The Garage hooked to my PC and used exclusively for gaming and movies.) Unfortuneatley no camera at the time and time restraints I was unabled to get more pics of the PJ before I shipped her East... :-(
Best of luck with you build anyways buddy, I shall attempt to get back to this forum more often now and follow your progress, I simply don't have the time I once did these days unfortuneately :-(
