my new Marantz CD-73 and RC430 RMC12

I purchased a nice working Marantz CD73 but won't be able to pick it up until this weekend.

I also purchased the RC430/RMC12 remote unit separately from another seller and just received it this morning. It powers on and everything seems to work, my question is how to hook it to the CD73?

The remote unit has what looks like plain RCA cables but coloured orange... does anyone know what cables will work? Included is a stock pic found on google

well, it's not some kind of optical cable, looks like regular wire... here's a pic of the orange connectors... I suppose plain old RCA cables should work?

just took delivery of 2 more RC430/RMC12 units... figured they were so affordable and for a worst case scenario I could make 1 out of 3 if needbe 😱

I can't wait till the wknd to get my CD73!!

I just received a message from someone that refurbishes these units, he's said that a normal RCA cable will work, I'll know for sure soon!! 🙂

Already have oem service manual and waiting on oem owners manual, will try out the remote units soon...

the "Compact Disc" logo won't illuminate and the orange lamp for track 11 selected is dead too 🙁

Although an old post, hereby a way to connect a RC430 to peripherals in this case a SD530 and a ST530. Note the cables ar "daisy chained"
