
Built an amp based on this schematic. I eliminated the first 6sl7 and and the input labeled 2. I used a 6sf5 for one input, and for the input labeled three I used a 6sj7 like the mic input for a valco 1200, as shown here. I also bypassed the cathodes on the second 6sl7 with a 10uf capacitor.

This way I have one triode input and one pentode input
You can't bypass the cathodes on the second 6SL7, because it's a phase splitter, you'll have nothing going to the bottom 6L6.
Edit: Oh wait, I see the input to the bottom half of the 6SL7.
I supposed this is for use with guitar, since there is no feedback?

been trying hard to get a sound clip up here, I can't figure out how. I may have to revert to youtube.
