Hi everyone
I have a problem nit sure if it is a big one yet. Here it is I have a proxima 2800 that I got for a great price.Sadly when it was delivered the mirror about the lens was brokenother than that the projector is in great shape. What I am wondering is what type of mirror is this is it some special optic mirror or some run of the mill mirror.Oh one last thing anybody know how hard it is to cut glass?

Buy a normal mirror.
And go to a specialist which cuts glass (those people often make windows and so on).
Those specialists can cut it for you, cause you need a diamond to cut it without breaking.

Cool thanks for info I thought maybe it was some sort of high performance mirror or something with the way the local projection shop talked.
Oh one last thing anybody ever seen one of these units in action I was told the picture is pretty decent for older model.

heya bowman, dont use normal mirror as it will cause your image to ghost, u need front surface mirror, it isnt cheap but if u need any let me know by email and ill hook u up with some cheap, i may have a peice laying around thats the right size for your projector.

Try some of the astronomy supply houses, all their mirrors are front surface and way overkill in quality.
Thanks ace3000_1 and scott wurcer.I can't find a astronomy supply store.I will let you know what size the mirror is when I
can get a chance to measure it.All i have found out so far it it is 97% reflective if that means anything.Do you guys know if the internal mirrors ever get dirty i figured the units are pretty much sealed to where you can't service them if they get dirty.lucky for me my broken mirror is external or i would have a real problem.
