I thought I should show some pictures and comments on my Audiodigit (autocostriure) amp.

I put it in a A/B printer switchbox and use an external PSU, a SMPS bougth from Nuuk.

The last image shows the amp with all wiring and the source, a Sony Playstation 1. But that's another story.... 😉

Nice job Mick !

Very clean wiring, I like it.

Like you I like to use old cases. I'll soon post pictures of my T-amp. I have to wait as I'm waiting for Chalize to arrive for a a/b comparison with the Autocostruire amp (the one you have).

Good listening !

Thanks for your comments.

Tell us about your switched attenuator?

The attenuator is the one sold by diyfidelity.
I think it sounds very good and the step widths are well chosen. I have no problems with pops or so as has been reported previously by others using this attenuator.

Nick, whats a SOH????
On the images you can also see my new symmetric (diy) interconnect. Btw, it seems that I have used the same RCA plugs as you did in your shoestring project 😉

I am looking forward to hear your opinion after comparison. Also it will be interesting to see if you agree with Nick.......

Mick

I will get the package tomorrow and will install it in my case tomorrow night. After that, I'll let it play music for 4 days (about 100 hours). I should be able to do a serious listening session next weekend.

I'll use the same stepped attenuator as you. I already tried it with my tubes amp and no POP problem.

I'll post my comments next week.

Regards,
