my first speaker project (need help!)

This is my first speaker cab project. I found this bad boy near the dumpster at a local practice studio I was jamming at with some friends and I thought it would make an intersting project. Everything here seems to be in decent shape despite the obvious loss of the 15" speaker. The cabinet is empty (no wires or anything) and I found the original horn that goes with it. The back panel will need to be replaced because the corners where the screws go have been beat up and torn off. But the construction is solid (one heavey mother to boot).

I need help and advice in what speaker to buy, how to do the wiring (I think for horn/speaker cabs a crossover is needed?) and what to replace the back panel with. I plan on using this in amplification of my juno60 or maybe even bass guitar. I have never done much work like this but I have a pretty basic decent understanding of working with my hands to do these sorts of things, I just need direction. On to the photos:

Hi... It seems pretty beat up. I think that whatever bass 15" cone would go... and yes, you'll need a crossover... you can get them for cheap looking to car audio stores... look for high wattage ones and proper impedance. I suppose you would use this in a bass rig, aren't you? For the wiring ask the clerk in that car audio store.
