Whats the down side of using a basic 12V regulator circuit?
I'm also trying to build in some versatility for the power supply boards as I maybe using the same power supply boards for other valve projects 🙂

I think I'm going to try the following design, unfortunately I had to add a input buffer to provide low output impedance to the feedback resistors to enable a volume pot before the buffer.
The feedback amount can be adjusted from unity to very high (depending on resistor ratio).
The simulated distortion is very low.
My question is can I add a simple switch/relay to add or remove the boot-strap capacitor while running, without much 'pop/bump'? This effects the distortion profile dramatically and would be nice to have that option to compare.

Maybe keeping both sides of C12 the same voltage potential would be best as when it is re-connected the voltage change will only be the V-GS of the FET?
