Hy,
After loosing my mind with diy daphile streamer yesterday, I went and bought cd player...
It's Yamaha CD-S303 and I have some questions.
Would I benefit if I connect player to amp (Yamaha A-S501) via coaxial spdif instead of rca?
Would quality be better if I burn cd rips (Flac) to cd instead of using usb?
Is there any pc software that would auto made playlist text list so I can print it out?
I have around 500 flac files on my usb in few folders and it would be nice if I would have playlist on paper with track numbers in front of me...
Thank you

Coax or optical isn't likely to make any audible difference.
CD might be better than flac from USB since CD playback is very mature technology, while flac playback from USB depends on software written by humans.
Some DVD and Blu-ray players will handle flac. You can fit a lot of music on a single DVD5 or BD25 disc. The user interface for music file playback tends to be primitive. You might find a better UI with a media player set-top box.
It's also possible to make music-only DVD compliant discs, or DVD-Audio discs. "Audio DVD Creator" created music discs that'll play on any DVD player:

DVD-Audio discs require a compatible DVD or Blu-ray player, which are fairly rare. Except, in fact there are numerous no-name DVD and Blu-ray players which have undocumented support for DVD-Audio. I haven't investigated whether any portable DVD players support DVD-A, but it is possible. That might be a nice solution since they're smaller and include a screen. Take a real or burned DVD-Audio disc to the thrift store or pawn shop and try them out.
Anyway, there are various programs that can author compliant DVD-Audio discs.

I use an Android mediaplayer (Himedia) + xmos xu208 USB interface + USB Player Pro installed on Himedia + Yamaha A-S501 and everything is fineHy,

You can play flac's on their native sound (up to 192 khz/24 bit over coaxial/optical cable)
Try it!
If it's like other Yamaha USB players, navigation can be a pain as it plays them in chronological order based on date of creation. Unlike Denon players where you can see the folder structure and view by artist, albums etc which makes navigation easy.
You can create a paper list through DOS DIR.

Denon CEOL N5 and N11 which are all in one things and have a OLED display with 3 lines.
The Yamaha WXC-50 does navigation well but it's App based through MusicCast as it has no display. The best I had was the Cambridge CXN which had a great display.

CD quality is only 16 bit / 44 kHz sample rate
Depending on the Flac file resolution could be as high as 24 bit and sample rates at 96 kHz to 192 kHz
so resolution is way above CD
Optical output up to 96 kHz and Coax up to 192 kHz
Yamaha rates the USB at up to 24 bit at 96 kHz
So in your case the Optical and coax output will be up to 96 kHz
All in all yes and yes.
Flac files higher resolution and USB in and Coax / Optical higher resolution
than CD

WhiteDragon...no,i don't use a Yamaha player.I use Himedia Q10 android player .From Himedia, over the USB port,to XMOS XU 208 which is controlled by USB Player Pro software. Then from coaxial output of the XMOS XU 208 device to coaxial input of the Yamaha integrated amplifier. This way you can bypass android which limits to 44khz/16 bit
