3/4" aluminum!!! Holy crap. The amp will survive a nuclear blast. No wonder you're a bit discouraged. That's a lot of machine shop time right there...

I know what you mean about chassis work. It took all the fun out of building amps for me. Now I just draw it up in SolidWorks and hand it off to a metal/wood shop.
Your amps look like they are coming along great though. Once an amp is tuned-in, done and you get in to your first listening session as a completed project, it's one of the biggest reliefs/ most satisfying experiences IMO.

Beautiful work. I am a metal sculptor and spend at least 10x as much time on my chassis than actually building the amp after the chassis is done.
