Yes lots of speaker manufacturers use this basic floor standing design .. I haven't built the crossovers yet so I don't have a clue what they will sound like ... I still have a lot of finishing to do on the cabs to make them look decent ...
It's all going well, IMO.
Getting the cabinets right is half the battle. The SEAS Njord was a decent design.
TBH, all that old first order filter stuff is just nonsense. 😀

I am going to use Jentzen cross caps and Jentzen iron core for woofer and Air core for tweeter ... my friend is a expert and he will help me build the xovers 🙂
I am keeping costs down to around 200 mark ... its a seas classic woofer 8inch and seas aluminium dome tweeter I got them cheaper on ebay ... the cross overs have cost me about 20 quid each in parts ... the box cost me 20 for MDF they should sound ok I am looking for sound quality over sound quantity if you know what I mean ...
