My DIY Projector

This is just a thread to show you my almost completed DIY projector!!!
First let me start off with the box I built

Next would be the inside of the box which contains the MH setup which is 400 watts and reflector, fan, and fresnel lens holder

Next would be a crappy pic of the wiring I had to do so that there was only one cable going into the projector and 3 buttons to power the fan,lcd panel, and bulb

Here is a pic of the side which has the ballist attached and the 2 buttons that control the on/off of the fan and bulb

Here is a pic of the inside of the box when the MH is turned on

Here is a pic of the front of the box when the light is turned on, notice all the light leaking through the exhast holes

Now I added a vent that blocks the light from leaking while letting the air flow toward the ground

Now here I added the fresnel lens

Now here is a picture of when I temporarly put a mirror and lens, I put a film strip on the fresnal, no lcd panel yet

Here was the temporary lens and mirror setup, I will use the same technique when the lcd panel is in place. Flexible arms hold the mirror and lens

Here I added the frame that will hold the LCD panel a couple of inch's above the fresnel

Here is the LCD panel in place, it is a Sharp QA-1650

great job! more pix!!! :-D lol show some movies,games etc. what kind of bulb is it? tubular? Hqi?

Ill post pics of it playing movies and stuff tonight, it wont look great since this webcame sucks and registers green as purple lol!
Here is a pic of the entire lighting kit I bought so hopefully that will answer your question because I don't know

Hey great looking setup, when you take pics take some with the lights on and off. Im still debating the " brute force method" of Metal halide lighting over getting a Double ended HQI lamp with a short arc, allthough The short arc will prob work a lot better But that= more $$$$$$$$$ LOL so yea please take more pics. L8er

Edit: put something in the pic so we can see a Comparison thats always nice too.
