MY DIY projector project Questions

Hi all I'm new around here but have been reading alot on this subject. I've purchased the following components for my system.

COMPUTER:
Older MSI nvidia motherboard w/video ebay $29
Winfast tv2000 card $59 fry's
Desktop case, 256meg pc2100, floppy already had
NEC dvd drive newegg $35
Keyboard/Mouse goodwill $7
20gig hdisk ebay $25

Display: Proxima 920+ ebay $75, needs power supply

Lighting:

100/90 watt xenon hid bulb run off computer power supply 12v@20 amps or so. about 7000 lumens.

Lens's: Well I'm not sure what to use here, I know I need a fresnel and a focusing lens, so input on where to get these for the best price/perromance would be welcomed input. Also need a reflector. Would I be best off to just get a overhead projector and modify it?

Ok I picked up a couple of apollo page magnifiers for my fresnel, anyone know the focal length of these (maybe this is the wrong question) but details from someone that has used them would be appreciated. I also ordered a projection lens from surplus shed 4-1/2" DIA. FUJINON TV PROJ. LENS. I am going to get a 15" 3M security screen basically a polarizer. I picked up a couple of 65w LOA bulbs at HD. I plan on butting the bulbs right up to the 3M screen, then the lcd / fresnels. I might need to add a couple more bulbs, but see no reason why this would not work. I have a sheet of aluminum that will use for a reflector. I only plan on a 4 foot diag screen so light should not be a problem. Want to watch dvds in there full splendor. I guess a 5 or 6 foot screen would be nice.

I want this projector to be as compact as possible, but not sure about the fresnel's. I guess it comes down to there focal length. Any links to tutorials on them would be a appreciated. Anyone else use page magnifiers for there lens'? The apollo's are said to b 2x. Image is pretty clear by just looking through them.

Got one of the projection panels I ordered off of ebay. It's an ovation 814, could not find any specs on it. Got an old computer power supply and took the plug off an old keyboard for power. It only needed the +5 and +12 connected. It displayed the proxima screen, I don't know the specs on this unit, but it is color. Need to make a vga cable still for it. Should be getting the 920+ soon, hopefully that one will work also, it's higher res.

Should have the projector box built this weekend and have some pics to show. 🙂🙂🙂

PS it was 95 here in oregon today Phew, thank goodness for AC
