Belden 8778 is only rated to 300V (30V DC) and only 2A per conductor, so it would be very dangerous to use as the umbilical for this project. You have 6A of filament current, don't forget.

I was looking at your power supply version. It's conceptually not very different from the one shown in the original Blue Hawaii article. I like how there is no feedback loop to for regulation of the output voltage. Many other DIY PSUs for estat headphones seem to be obsessed with regulation ("GRHV" etc.) Any thoughts on this? Would you build it in the same way again?
