Hi Audiofanatic,

Thanks and it sounds pretty good. I had a large test a few months ago where I played my OPA627, GCs and Proac clones against some Krell, Vincent and some other bits and pieces on Martin Logan Ascent. It did not make a fool of itself.

The case for the pre is an Italian Tyko case and is called the DS series. A very nice case but suffers like many small and nice case from limited height internally. I like it very much. You can get it at among others ELFA in Scandinavia and from Distrelec in central Europe. This particular model is DS2470.

The knobs are as usual a nightmare for us DIYers. I got mine through a trade with the Grand Pooba of GC building, Peter Daniel. I have looked for ages and have not found a stable industry source for good looking knobs...

Thanks!

Hi UrSv,

I'll try to find one, if I don't succeed, I'll ask my local Metal industry to make one for me.

I know that Krell, Mark Levinson and other High-End brands can be as good as our own DIY projects. Thats what I found out too after making my own things.

All the best and thanks ones again.

Best regards,

Audiofanatic 😉

Those case are actually manufactured by a comapany called Hi Fi 2000 and probably distributed world wide by somebody else.
Here you can find more info and all the available size.

The model pictured belongs to the Galaxy series. Toller models can be found among the Galaxy Maggiorato (=enlarged) Series.

Hi UrSv! just a question for you: where did you source the PCB for the 1543 Dac?
