I have a wondom bdm8 amplifier with the bp1048b2 chip on it and they put a 4 pin header plug next to it for connecting it to the PC. Does anyone know how I could go about trying to wire a USB cable to this? I have a 4 pin plug and I was going to cut a USB cable and solder the wires to the plug but I don't know which wires go where. I have the ACPworkbench software already and want to see if I can connect the amplifier. Wondom says the bdm8 doesn't support uart control but yet it has the socket on the PCB and it's labeled USB.
Did you check the BP1048B2 datasheet? https://www.scribd.com/document/813859859/MVSilicon-BP1048B2-ENG
Thank you for the link I used it to make a cable and plugged it into the amp without powering it up and it worked right away! I was very surprised that it worked honestly because wondom said that this particular model it doesn't work. I wonder why they would say that and/or not use this in the marketing of the amp? Well I guess I better learn how to use ACPworkbench before I mess up and the amp never works again! Lol
As you can see above the connector in the middle there's +5v, DM, DP, and Gnd printed right on the PCB. Does anyone know what the solder pads above and below the switch are for? One side goes to the Left/Right analog input pins and the other goes to the 2 center tabs of the switch.
