Muting transistors and dc-coupling

Hello,

I've just restored muting transistors in an old Sony CDP-797 CD player and just to be sure restored also coupling caps that were previously removed.

Assuming that some DC is present at the output of the last opamp, removing again coupling caps and replacing them with wire can damage the muting circuit?

Thanks in advance

You won't damage the circuit, but depending of the offset, it might generate distortions.
I guess the schematics looks similar with this?
