Some photos of my recent mods to my MF X-LPSV3 phono stage. Mods include Panasonic FC Capacitors in the power supply and elsewhere. Ultra fast diodes in place of stock bypassed by 1uf film caps. Black gate N type in the output stage. Auricaps in the input stage. This has resulted in a much cleaner and less grainy sound than before.

1. Have a go replacing those rectifier diodes with fast recovery types.
2. Consider a tube buffer (X-10D?) after phono stage to pre-amp/int amplifier? I think you'd enjoy a futher enhancement for LP sound.
3. Bigger VA transformer for the PSU?
Yes, upgrade capacitors does improve the sound.

Hi coolmaster
I've already made a bigger PS. This helped a lot to get rid of grainyness. I've also done the diodes with UF ones. All in all a worthwhile improvement 🙂
