Thanks you very much @Protegimus, the BOM is very well done from what I can see upon firt impression. I will review in more detail over the next few weeks. If I do indeed start this project I will start a new roject thread and I appreciate the offer to help and your guidence. Once question for you? Have you replaced your actual volume control pot? Mine is a bit noisey just past the halk mark (not that it goes there very often, if ever really). It seems to have a couple of access holes in the side and thought I may give it a spray with some cleaner.
Then I started thinking if I'm in there replacing components anyhow, perhaps it should get a refresh too.....

I haven't changed the volume control. I believe it would help, but haven't located a suitable alternative.
There is a video from a Polish guy showing disassembly, replacement of the pot inners and re-assembly. I won't post it as a recommendation as it depicts butchery during removal of the main board from the chassis 🙂

First post so please bear it with me. I have a MF A308CR dual mono power amp and it worked good for about 1 - 2 years. However lately I got this issue: power drops to almost zero on the left channel and only a gentle tapping of the ON button (or on the case in that area) will bring the full power back on.
After a while is dropping again.
I am a Maths teacher with absolutely no knowledge of electronics, but keen to learn. Obviously will not try to fix it myself unless there is an obvious imperfect contact or if anybody could give me some steps to take to identify the problem.
Any suggestions appreciated.
