Or, if you're like me, you just wing it and hope for the best. 😉And make sure you know what are you doing...

If you have no experience working on tube amplifiers, I recommend that you get help from someone who does have that experience. There are lethal voltages inside them, and you could be exposed to a serious, possible lethal shock.Hi, have a music angle with 4 KT88 tubes. But when i turned it on an evening, one tube flashed and i turned it off.I opened the amp but realised quickly that this is a complete new world for me, this is my first tube amp.but i did not see any burned parts. so my question is, do i rip all the internal out and buid a complete new amp or is it worth trying to find the fault that destroyed my tube? i have understand that there is many versions of the music angel. i have not found any pics on google thas looks like mine. And i also want to remove the preamp section on the amp. i want is as a clean power amp. But can i turn the amp on without the tubes and meassure the different voltages on the channels? to see the different voltages, if thats was the issue that killed my tube, if it is killed. i dont know tubes that well. can a tube survive something like the problem i describe? can i meassure the tubes with a multimeter to check if its ok?
I found the problem. The one pcb that is mounted on stand offs was not grounded. Grounded the pcb and all noice and problems was gone. Have used the amp for 3-4month now without problems.
