Is it possible to out one audio source to multiple headphones (around 150 sets)? Can an amplifier or a mixer supply power to all of them?
The scenario would be a foreign speaker delivers his speech then an interpreter translates his words simultaneously. People who needs the speech translated may opt to listen in the headphones in their seats.

Yes its do-able. Put some numbers in.
150 headphones. Lets say you feed each via a series 470 ohm resistor. We will discount the phones impedance which actually improves things.
So 150 resistors of 470 ohms in parallel is around 3 ohms. The impedance of the phones will make that value higher... maybe considerably so.
So looking at this empirically an amp capable of (say) 20 or 30 watts into 4 ohms should be fine.
Try one headphone first and see what value series resistor you need and take things from there.
