Hello all, I am going to be driving 6 bass shakers in some sort of series /parellel circut. Now I know they (aura) say's 25w a piece is plenty, but what about 6? I am figuring on an plate amp for this. Cheap me, says 100w unit. Sencible me, says 250w. Real me, says 350w. Who is wright? Thanks Jimbo.
A 150W plate amplifier should do the job well.
Wire 6 for 6 ohm for a 4 ohm amp, or buy 8.

looks good enough to me.

Wow that is cheap! Lowest x-over is 80hz though. Ive read that 50hz or lower is proper for these (shakers). But that price is sweet. Worth a post in and of itself. Thanks

Aura Bass Shakers closed out at about twenty bucks.

What would be the result of using a couple of these is some arragement that would induce low freq? Is is conceivable?
Mounting them on a 3X3' sheet of steel under the floor joists or mount them on an oak board, permanently mounted somewhere and tuned by length perhaps to a desired resonance?
Just a crazy thought.

just to clarify the above a little. Is it reasonable to think that such a devise, properly applied, would produce frequencies reaching even a little bit into the audible range? If so, how would the performance in those lower freqs compare to a traditionally built subwoofer?
