As many audiophiles know, a multifunction audio tone generator is indispensable for the clarification of crossovers in multi-element speaker systems, vibration isolation, frequency response, distortion, and the like is irreplaceable in the toolbox. The ability to change the waveshape from sinusoidal to triangle, as well as the sharp edge of a square wave further enhances usability.
This unit is designed to cover the audio frequency range from 20Hz to 20kHz in three steps, and the fine tuning calibration knob gives a close approximation of the frequency. Output level is also adjustable between 0 to 400mV RMS. The output level is automatically adjusted for correct RMS value internally when switching from one waveshape to the other without output level adjustment change.
