The amp powers on but output is static. I've cleaned the switches and gains. After I opened it up I notice on the input side 2 SMD components look damaged. I have not done testing yet.What's the problem with the amp?
SMD parts are easy to work with. For resistors and such, apply additional solder to both terminals. Heat one end for a few seconds then quickly move to the other terminal ans slide the resistor off of the pads to a vacant area.
For transistors, apply additional solder to the two adjacent legs so the iron can heat both at the same time then lift. Desolder those pads then heat the third to remove the transistor.
