That sounds ideal.
With all the additional mega-BTU's being pumped out in the area, I'll be looking for signs of an early spring along Bell road!

(like the old Aleph 5)
No pun intended, but the Aleph designs were economy-class SE power amps.
The XA amps are fully symmetrical designs (with a single-ended twist), which come at an extra voltage loss (dissipation) penalty.
With the same chassis, best you could expect is a little more class A power, at the cost of drastic reduced max output power. Not worth it.
A different chassis with much larger heatsinks translates to a much higher price, also not worth it.
I have a thousand square feet there for my stuff. Noting that it shares a wall
on the other side of the burn-in racks, I declined to put heating in that space.

I'd like to see pictures of the electric service to the Burn In Room
Congrats on the new digs! 🙂 🙂 🙂

We put in 5 drops with 12 outlets each for the power amps alone........ as an opening salvo; easily physical space to double that.
The building was originally set up to service big electric kilns. Nelson and Wayne are free to dream as grand as they wish. If they need power, they have but to ask.

Only in the sense of boxes and boxes of parts, that could in theory become speakers.

I think I read somewhere that the idle current is set on the consumer models to not take the heatsinks into the 'instant burn if touched' temperature range for safeties sake. Even my X150.5 at idle dissipating 250w is troublesome to situate and it's actually forcing me to isolate my other gear from it in a proper rack setup (should have done this anyway already but with this amp there's no option but to do it). I can't imagine how hot 100wpc pure class A would get!

Depends on the size of the heatsinks, and/or the air flow speed.
(my ExtremA builds have the output stage mounted on a high performance heatsink, each blown by two 80mm super silent fans. Single way to get 260W dissipation out of 4 output devices, complimentary benefit is a heatsink temperature under 40C)
You know me, I'm a poof.
(+600W dissipation, including preamp, usually makes me listen to music barely dressed)

Get your significant other involved, and you'll be hearing things in your records
that you never did before! Before you know it you'll be going through your entire
collection all over again!
mmmmmmmm... Class A 😎

- Mr. Nelson, why does Pass Labss only offer one class A stereo model?
