As predicted, the troll technology is being called. Yepp - no clothes on that emperor. Moreover, the available bandwidth in general will increase as the industry is gearing up for hi-rez video distribution so the technology solves a problem that is rather going away. DSD will look like a major success compared to MQA looking back from 2019.

Funnily I posted both those links in the snake Oil theory thread a few weeks ago. That seemed its natural home. Ignoring all the latest noise over it now being hardware DRM IMO it falls at the first fence. If you can deliver one product and the right DAC makes it 'hi-res' then you can't charge a premium for hi-rez. So why bother?

Shame Bob is trying to be the next Dolby. 30 years ago he did good stuff...
