Hi Guys,
For some reason I wasn't getting notifications for this thread the past few days, so I need to get caught up!
Ravid: I'll get you a quote this evening for shipping
Multisync: The sound card is all yours! Want me to drop it off, or would you like to pick it up?
Odysseas: I'll send you an email to answer your questions.
I also have a few extra items to add to the list, and I'll post an updated list this evening with shipped items, and whatever else is left.
Cheers!
Owen

If you are moving after the Ottawa DIY thingy we could trade then. If you want to get rid of it before then we could firgure something out. On Tuesday March 26th I will be driving around town during the day and we could do a swap somewhere.
Hi Guys,
Before getting into the list update, I just wanted to clarify that I'm not leaving diyAudio in any capacity, and my move is within the same city, just from a condo to a house 🙂
I got a few messages from people expressing concern, but all is well!
Everything on this list is just stuff I've accumulated over the years that no longer gets the attention it deserves (eg. has been sitting in a cabinet for 2+ years).
Anyhow... on to the main attraction.
Attached below is the updated list with a few extra items on it, and cleaned up/reorganized.
Here are the additional items:
- AlfaMag/Acme Potted PCB Mount Toroidal Transformers (L01-6373)
- 24 position rotary switch - for stereo balanced stepped attenuator
- Firstwatt F5 - Fully Assembled and Tested PCB set and PSU
- Heatsinks and Corner ALU blocks for above amp (or anything else)
- Crazy Monster Custom Dynaco ST-70 - Custom PCB - Military XFMR
I'll attach pictures and descriptions in the following posts.
I sent out a bunch of PMs this evening to try and tie up some loose ends, so please check your inbox in you were expecting anything. If I missed anyone, send me a gentle reminder and I'll get right back to you.
Alright... on to the descriptions and pictures:
1. Acme/AlfaMag Blue Potted Transformer Toroidal Transformers - PCB Mount $30
These are from a variety of projects, and have seen some good use, but I no longer have a need for them. They are 35VA dual 15V secondaries, and 115/230V dual primaries. They're fully potted and shielded, and in good condition. I have 4 used transformers and 1 brand new one.
2. 24 position rotary switch $20
I bought this to build a balanced stepped attenuator but ended up not needing it thanks to the digital control in the BII. It's in good shape, and is a simple 4-deck open frame switch. All you need are the appropriate resistors and some elbow grease.
More descriptions to come!
Cheers,
Owen

3. Firstwatt F5 - Fully assembled $150
This was my personal amplifier for a few years, and comes fully assembled and tested. You don't get much more plug'n'play than this...
Two amplifier boards, and one PSU are included, and all you need to do is connect up the quick connects, add a transformer, and bolt each channel board to a heatsink.
On that same note, I also have all the heatsinks and corner blocks to build the chassis for these.
The heatsinks need to be drilled and tapped, and the corner blocks might need some work as well.

5. Crazy Monster Custom Dynaco ST-70
This is quite literally the amplifier that got me started in DIY electronics. I sold my NAD integrated amp that my parents bought me for Christmas to buy this ST-70 on ebay. That was a long long time ago, and it has been re-worked more than a few times since I got it.
In it's current form, I can comfortably say that it's likely one of the best sounding ST-70s on the planet. The circuit has been tweaked just a touch, but without changing any of the fundamentals that make this amp special.
The 7199 drivers are replaced with a single EF-86 in pentode mode for each channel, and a shared 12AU7A phase splitter. This is identical to the 7199 but with the tubes split up differently. The output section remains unchanged and uses a nearly new quad of Svetlana EL-34 (winged C) output tubes with less than 50 hours on them.
Everything is mounted on a custom PCB of which there is only one in existence. Good quality Panasonic electrolytics, PRP resisors, Solen film and foil coupling caps, and good gold plated connectors.
There are two switches mounted on the board that allow for easy swapping between triode and pentode mode for the output stage. All bias check points and pots are easily accessible from the top of the amp through the board opening.
The output transformers are original, along with the chassis and choke. The power transformer has been upgraded to an absolutely massive potted military HV transformer with ceramic standoffs on the bottom. A separate small transformer is used for the -ve supply voltage.
The always problematic 5AR4 dual rectifier has been replaced with a nearly invincible pair of 6DE4 TV Damper Diodes. These take a full 45 seconds to warm up and start conducting which results in a super-slow HV ramp up. This helps protect the output tubes and makes for a great naturally occurring HV delay. Lynn Olsen talks about the use of damper diodes in length in his designs.
This amplifier probably has well over $1000 put into it, and it's solid as a rock. All the downfalls of the original ST-70 design have been fixed, but all the original charm has been kept.
The only negatives with the amp are two cosmetic issues:
1. The top of the potted transformer is scuffed up. It was stored upside down to protect the tubes, and it got scuffed along the floor at some point.
2. The plating has come off on the bottom of the chassis, and there is a bit of surface rust. The original chassis is in otherwise good condition.
I'm really hoping someone can give this amp a good home, and get it back into regular service. It deserves to be somewhere it will be listened to every day!
Cheers,
Owen

Hello
I just received my transistors.
Thank you very much.
If you post the attenuator at the same time.............
Greetings Gabor

Hi, Owen
I missed some of the deals already, but I just noticed the Antec transformer for "the Wire". The pdf indicates it would probably go with your other Wire components, but if you are willing to sell it separately, I would take the transformer, please (since I haven't got around to getting one for my SE-SE build). If the transformer is available, I'd also take the one remaining SE-SE rework board (for a backup).
Finally... I'm not sure whether or not Antoinel's post means he is serious about getting your F5. If he isn't, I would be willing to buy.
Thanks,
Ron

Sorry... the price was listed in the sheet attached to one of the posts, but now that I look at it, it's easy to miss.
I'm asking $400 + shipping for the ST-70.
I will get formal quotes with shipping out to everyone this evening.
Cheers,
Owen

Hi Guys,
Updated list attached!
Everything has shipped out, and I've clearly marked the remaining items at the top of the list.
I dropped all the prices on the remaining items, so if anyone was on the fence, take a look and let me know if you're interested!
Cheers,
Owen
