Mounting X capacitor on IEC socket

Please give me some hint about mounting X capacitor on Live and Neutral poles of power amp when the connectors are fully isolated? (see attached pics)
Is it safe to solder it directly on L and N poles?

Those look like crimp connectors.

Why not fit the cap at at the other end of whatever the socket will be wired to? i.e at the end of the leads that you will presumably connect to those crimps.

(if you do solder to the socket then be aware of causing damage internally in the socket through heat. You would have to remove those insulation sleeves though)

Hello,

Believe any caps on the power line should be fitted after the power switch. That way there is no way for you to get a shock by touching the power line connectors while moving things. And yes I know most xcaps are quite small in capacitance, but this is proper practice.
