I'd like to pass along the method by which the chipamp output stages were mounted on the heatsinks -- you could do this with 4-40 or 6-32 threaded rod (but you'd have to be careful torqueing them up) :

I used to try to make Belleville washers for transistors n such, but this was aluminimum, not very springy.
