No, but it's low.
Before I used this method, one of my "test the limits" setups, would send the temp of the JFET up on the wrong side of 150C. With the copper block, it's below 100C, and (embarrassing, I know) limited by the capacity of the heat-sink.

I just drilled and tapped two holes flanking the fet. Then cut a small length of aluminum and screwed it down with a silpad under the fet.
