Motorised amp volume control potentiometer question.

Hi, I'm trying to clean a motorised potentiometer. To disassemble it I have to remove this washer which keeps everything together. Any ideas on what tool to use? Thank you

That type of washer is not designed to be removeable. To remove it you will have to (carefully) destroy it.

With a sharp pick you have to bend up each petal of the clip enough to Passover the lip they lock on. It’s not easy so don’t poke yourself! To put it back it has to be bent back down to lock again. Notforthe faint of heart. Try just spraying it with contact cleaner first.
